Google sometimes rewrites titles to match what people searched for, so treat this as a close guide.

    What does this tool do?

Every page on the web carries a few hidden lines of code called meta tags. You never see them, but Google reads them to decide what headline and summary to show in search results, and Facebook, WhatsApp and X read them to build the little card that appears when someone shares your link.

Writing those lines by hand is fiddly and easy to get wrong. This tool asks you three plain questions, shows you exactly how the result will look, and hands you the finished code to paste in.

    How to use it

    • Type the title of your page in box 1. Watch the little bar — keep it out of the red and Google will show the whole title.
    • Write one or two sentences in box 2 describing what the page offers.
    • Paste the page's full link in box 3.
    • Look at the preview on the right. If it reads well there, it will read well in Google.
    • Press Copy all tags and paste them inside the <head> section of your page.

Why the bar measures width, not letters

Google cuts long titles off at about 600 pixels of width, not at a fixed number of letters. A title full of narrow letters like i and l fits many more characters than one full of wide letters like W and M. The bar under box 1 measures the real width of what you typed, so its warning matches what searchers will actually see.

    Simple tips that work

    • Give every page its own title and description. Repeating the same ones wastes both.
    • Write for a person, not for a search engine. Keyword stuffing reads badly and no longer helps.
    • Add a sharing picture. A link with a picture gets noticeably more clicks than a plain one.
    • Always use the full link starting with https://, including for the picture.
    • After you update tags on a live page, ask Facebook to re-read it in their Sharing Debugger — it remembers the old version otherwise.

    Common questions

Do I have to fill in the optional parts?

No. The three numbered boxes are enough for a complete, correct set of tags. The folded sections are there for people who want finer control.

Where exactly do I paste the code?

Inside the <head> section of your page. In Blogger, open Theme → Edit HTML and paste it just before </head>.

    Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your own browser. Your work is saved only on your own device so a refresh does not lose it, and Clear everything wipes that copy.

Will these tags improve my ranking?

Not on their own. What they do is control how your page is presented, which affects how many people choose to click — and that matters a great deal.

What size should the sharing picture be?

1200 by 630 pixels is the standard that Facebook, LinkedIn and X all handle well.
